SOMA-Embodiment

This training has its roots in Somatic Experiencing, among others. “Using hapticity and movement for emotional regulation in trauma therapy”.

Through gravity – which we come into contact with immediately after birth – an initial, fundamental orientation takes place in embodying our self in relation to the world around us. Trauma disrupts the natural, rhythmic flow of our organism. SOMA~Embodiment offers tools to set this flow in motion again, to give space to the self-healing capacity and thus to heal trauma.

Sonia Gomes,
Is a psychotherapist and has been working for 35 years with methods in the field of body-oriented therapy. She is internationally known as a teacher of Somatic Experiencing (SE) with solid neurological expertise and a big heart/ warm personality.  Thanks to her background in Rolfing bodywork, Hubert’s movement theory , and years of experience as an SE Advanced teacher, she can build on a solid foundation in theoretical and practical knowledge.  She loves to support people in their personal and spiritual development.

The training SOMA~Embodiment with Sonia Gomes is an in-depth training for body-oriented therapists who work with people with trauma-related complaints.

Please notice: this is the LAST time Sonia will give the whole SOMA training (19 days) herself in the Netherlands.
